What is Reiki?

Reiki is a form of alternative therapy that uses energy healing to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. This Japanese technique involves the transfer of energy from the practitioner's hands to the patient's body, with the aim of activating the natural healing processes within the body. Reiki is believed to help reduce stress, anxiety, and pain, as well as improve sleep, increase energy levels, and enhance the immune system.

One of the key benefits of Reiki is its non-invasive nature, which means it can be used alongside other conventional medical treatments. Reiki practitioners are trained to channel energy to specific areas of the body, helping to alleviate symptoms of illness or injury. The therapy is also said to promote a sense of calm and relaxation, which can help improve overall mental and emotional well-being. Reiki has become increasingly popular in recent years, as more people seek out alternative forms of healing and self-care. Whether used as a standalone therapy or in conjunction with other treatments, Reiki has the potential to help individuals feel more balanced and connected, both physically and emotionally.

Amanda Thomson

Hi there, I'm Amanda Thompson, and I've been practicing Reiki since I was 11 years old. My Reiki journey started after traditional western medicine wasn't effective for me, and I found Reiki to be a beneficial form of healing. I've always been interested in holistic living and use various practices for healing, including Reiki. I experience chronic health issues, anxiety, and depression, and Reiki has consistently helped me feel better. As a sensitive person, I've learned to use my intuition and ability to read and feel energy to guide me in my Reiki sessions and daily life. I'm also passionate, creative, goofy, and honest. My overall goal is to lessen suffering and spread positivity. I believe that everyone has the ability to heal and live as their best selves, and I hope to be a part of your healing journey. I am certified in Usui Reiki I, II, and Master levels.
